Before Vinyl Installation
Here is what you should expect before your vinyl flooring installation with Puckett's Flooring:
- A member of our team will walk you through the entire installation process, answering any questions that you might have about time table and what to expect. We will always do this before we start the installation
- You will discuss subflooring preparation (if needed) and waste management with your crew.
- Please ensure that children and pets are not present during installation day.Remove any furniture or fragile items from the installation area.
During Vinyl Installation
While the vinyl installation process may vary slightly from job to job, here is a rough overview of what you can expect:
- Your existing flooring may need to be removed, and your subflooring may need to be prepared. This varies depending on a number of factors.
- Depending on whether you're opting for LVT (luxury vinyl tile) or LVP (luxury vinyl plank), your installation method may vary.
- For both LVT and LVP, there is a floating, click-and-lock installation method that is done without adhesives and can sometimes be done over your existing flooring and a glue-down installation method.
- The crew will masterfully handle transitions and work around various objects.
- When finished, the crew will assess their work and clean up.
After Vinyl Installation
Your post-installation vinyl checklist is as follows:
- We will walk through the job site with you to assess the installation.
- You should run a fan to remove any installation-related smells.
- Stay in touch with our team with any questions about your vinyl flooring.
- Enjoy your new vinyl.
