Before Carpet Installation
Here is what you should expect before your carpet installation with Puckett's Flooring:
- A member of our team will walk you through the entire installation process, answering any questions that you might have about time table and what to expect. We will always do this before we start the installation
- You will discuss subflooring preparation (if needed) and waste management with your crew.
- Please ensure that children and pets are not present during installation day.
- Remove any furniture or fragile items from the room in question.
During Carpet Installation
While the carpet installation process may vary slightly from job to job, here is a rough overview of what you can expect:
- We may need to remove your existing flooring. If so, we will do this at the start. Your subflooring may also need to be prepared.
- Your team may need to remove doors, depending on the room(s) in question.
- The underpad will be laid.
- The next step will involve the crew matching up the carpet seams.
- And then, finally, stretching and attaching the carpet to the floor.
- We will clean up and complete our internal QA check.
After Carpet Installation
Your post-installation carpet checklist is as follows:
- We will walk through the job site with you to assess the installation.
- You should run a fan to remove any installation-related smells.
- Stay in touch with our team with any questions about your carpet flooring.
- Enjoy your new carpet!
